# Map Pilot Pro vs SKYROVER

The clearest difference is ads: Map Pilot Pro at none against SKYROVER's shown. Map Pilot Pro also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). SKYROVER's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Map Pilot Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Map Pilot Pro has 254 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Map Pilot Pro's written reviews are positive against 75% of SKYROVER's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Map Pilot Pro ships an update every 2 weeks, SKYROVER every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
