# Dew vs Daychat

The clearest difference is monetization model: Daychat at free with in-app purchases against Dew's subscription. Daychat also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Dew's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dew sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Daychat sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dew ships an update every 2 months, Daychat weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
