# Video Compressor vs Crispy

The clearest difference is rating: Video Compressor at 4.7 against Crispy's 4.0. Video Compressor also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). Crispy's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Compressor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and Crispy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Video Compressor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Compressor has 2.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Video Compressor ships an update every 5 weeks, Crispy every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
