# Filing Cabinet vs Text Diary

The clearest difference is rating: Text Diary at 4.5 against Filing Cabinet's 3.0. Text Diary also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). Filing Cabinet's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Text Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Diary has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
