# Tracking vs Package Tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Tracking at none against Package Tracker's shown. Package Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 54) and review sentiment (66% vs 50%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tracking sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Package Tracker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Tracking against 4.7 for Package Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Package Tracker has 1.3K ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Tracking's written reviews are positive against 66% of Package Tracker's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
