# Hermes vs Notification Note

The clearest difference is rating: Notification Note at 4.5 against Hermes's 3.0. Notification Note also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 11 months) and review sentiment (77% vs 60%). Hermes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hermes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Notification Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notification Note holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notification Note has 31 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Hermes's written reviews are positive against 77% of Notification Note's.

Hermes ships an update every 11 months, Notification Note every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
