# Elev vs Grata

The clearest difference is rating: Grata at 4.3 against Elev's 3.0. Grata also leads on ratings volume (400 vs 2) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 weeks). Elev's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 43%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Grata holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grata has 400 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Elev's written reviews are positive against 43% of Grata's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Elev ships an update every 4 weeks, Grata every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
