# Lingvano vs iFY

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iFY at none against Lingvano's 21. iFY also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Lingvano's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (120K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lingvano sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. iFY asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Lingvano against 5.0 for iFY. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lingvano has 120K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lingvano ships an update fortnightly, iFY every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
