# Journal Prompts vs Resolution

The clearest difference is update cadence: Resolution at every 2 days against Journal Prompts's monthly. Resolution also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Journal Prompts's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Journal Prompts sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Resolution sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Journal Prompts against 5.0 for Resolution. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Journal Prompts has 1.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Journal Prompts's written reviews are positive against 100% of Resolution's.

Journal Prompts ships an update monthly, Resolution every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
