# Hourly Chime vs Done List

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Done List at none against Hourly Chime's 1. Done List also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (82% vs 50%). Hourly Chime's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 11). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hourly Chime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Done List asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hourly Chime holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hourly Chime has 1.9K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Hourly Chime's written reviews are positive against 82% of Done List's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hourly Chime ships an update every 3 months, Done List every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
