# Solstice vs Yesterday

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yesterday at none against Solstice's 3. Yesterday also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). Solstice's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (80 vs 2). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solstice sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Yesterday asks for nothing beyond the download.

Solstice holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solstice has 80 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Solstice's written reviews are positive against 100% of Yesterday's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solstice ships an update every 2 months, Yesterday weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
