# IBO PLAYER vs Smarters Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Smarters Pro at 4.5 against IBO PLAYER's 2.7. Smarters Pro also leads on ratings volume (8.9K vs 23) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). IBO PLAYER's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IBO PLAYER sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Smarters Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smarters Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smarters Pro has 8.9K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 14% and 14% positive.

IBO PLAYER ships an update every 3 months, Smarters Pro every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
