# Aura vs iDefend

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iDefend at 100% against Aura's 44%. iDefend also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Aura's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (112K vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aura sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per month. iDefend asks for nothing beyond the download.

iDefend holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aura has 112K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
