# Simpleum Safe Encryption vs Telegraph

The clearest difference is rating: Telegraph at 5.0 against Simpleum Safe Encryption's 3.9. Simpleum Safe Encryption's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (14 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simpleum Safe Encryption sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Telegraph sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Telegraph holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simpleum Safe Encryption has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simpleum Safe Encryption ships an update every 11 days, Telegraph every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
