# Countdown vs EventHorizon

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EventHorizon at none against Countdown's 1. EventHorizon also leads on ads (none vs shown). Both are free to download. Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EventHorizon asks for nothing beyond the download.

Countdown ships an update every 5 days, EventHorizon every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
