# Epic Wings vs Flame Broiler

The clearest difference is rating: Flame Broiler at 4.6 against Epic Wings's 4.1. Flame Broiler also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months). Epic Wings's advantage is review sentiment (32% vs 17%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Flame Broiler holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flame Broiler has 2.8K ratings behind it against 242, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Epic Wings's written reviews are positive against 17% of Flame Broiler's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Epic Wings ships an update every 8 months, Flame Broiler monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
