# Stoplight Golight vs Birdfy

The clearest difference is rating: Birdfy at 4.1 against Stoplight Golight's 3.6. Birdfy also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 21 months) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 9). Stoplight Golight's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and review sentiment (83% vs 49%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Birdfy sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $2.39 per month. Stoplight Golight asks for nothing beyond the download.

Birdfy holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Birdfy has 3.8K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Stoplight Golight's written reviews are positive against 49% of Birdfy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stoplight Golight ships an update every 21 months, Birdfy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
