# Foto Notes vs Notepad

The clearest difference is ads: Foto Notes at none against Notepad's shown. Foto Notes also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Foto Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notepad sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Foto Notes ships an update monthly, Notepad every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
