# Puzzle vs ScriptPad

The clearest difference is update cadence: ScriptPad at monthly against Puzzle's every 32 months. Puzzle's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Puzzle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ScriptPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Puzzle ships an update every 32 months, ScriptPad monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
