# FloatText vs Teleprompter

The clearest difference is monetization model: Teleprompter at free with in-app purchases against FloatText's subscription. Teleprompter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 2). FloatText's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 64%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FloatText sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Teleprompter sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for FloatText against 4.6 for Teleprompter. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 334 and 612 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of FloatText's written reviews are positive against 64% of Teleprompter's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
