# FloatText vs Floating Teleprompter

The clearest difference is rating: FloatText at 4.7 against Floating Teleprompter's 3.5. FloatText also leads on ratings volume (334 vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.6). Floating Teleprompter's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FloatText sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Floating Teleprompter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FloatText holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FloatText has 334 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of FloatText's written reviews are positive against 100% of Floating Teleprompter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FloatText ships an update every 3 weeks, Floating Teleprompter every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
