# Device Tracker vs AirFinder

The clearest difference is monetization model: AirFinder at free with in-app purchases against Device Tracker's subscription. AirFinder also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). Device Tracker's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 50%) and ratings volume (651 vs 98). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device Tracker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and AirFinder sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Device Tracker against 4.5 for AirFinder. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device Tracker has 651 ratings behind it against 98, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of Device Tracker's written reviews are positive against 50% of AirFinder's.

Device Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, AirFinder every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
