# Device Tracker vs Device Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Device Tracker at freemium against Device Tracker's subscription. Device Tracker also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). Device Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (651 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device Tracker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Device Tracker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Device Tracker against 4.5 for Device Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device Tracker has 651 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Device Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, Device Tracker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
