# SmartSuite App vs Hive

The clearest difference is monetization model: SmartSuite App at free against Hive's freemium. SmartSuite App also leads on review sentiment (45% vs 30%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hive holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 69 and 87 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of SmartSuite App's written reviews are positive against 30% of Hive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartSuite App ships an update weekly, Hive every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
