# Fractal vs FlyTexting

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fractal at 9 against FlyTexting's 1. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fractal sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and FlyTexting sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Fractal against 5.0 for FlyTexting. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fractal has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fractal ships an update monthly, FlyTexting every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
