# SicTransit vs Roid

The clearest difference is ads: SicTransit at none against Roid's shown. SicTransit also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SicTransit sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Roid sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SicTransit ships an update fortnightly, Roid every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
