# DistroKid vs AUDNC

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AUDNC at none against DistroKid's 5. AUDNC also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). DistroKid's advantage is ratings volume (27K vs 1) and chart position (#22 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DistroKid sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year. AUDNC asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DistroKid against 5.0 for AUDNC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DistroKid has 27K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DistroKid ships an update every 5 weeks, AUDNC every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
