# ASTB Prep vs OAR Test

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ASTB Prep at 448 against OAR Test's 2. ASTB Prep also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ASTB Prep sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and OAR Test sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ASTB Prep against 5.0 for OAR Test. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ASTB Prep has 448 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ASTB Prep ships an update fortnightly, OAR Test every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
