Dirt Slingin Tech is the dirt track racing app for race car setup sheets, lap timing, and telemetry. Import laps from a RaceBox or a GoPro, see where you lost time corner by corner, and keep every setup you have ever run in your pocket. Built for IMCA and USRA racers in Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sport Compacts, Late Models, Sprint Cars, Micro Sprints, and Go Karts. LAP TIMING AND TELEMETRY RaceBox Data Logger Connect your RaceBox and import lap times, GPS, speed, and G-force for every run. Caution laps are set aside so your averages and best laps reflect green-flag racing. GoPro Lap Import Already running a GoPro? Pull laps straight from the camera's GPS track, then watch the video for any lap right next to the data. Corner Splits Entry, middle, and exit times for every corner, every lap, so you know exactly which part of the track is costing you. Lap Comparison and Time-Lost Chart Line up two laps by position on the track and see where the gap opened. The time-lost chart and delta bar show the difference corner by corner and down each straight. RACE CAR SETUP Digital Setup Sheets Record springs, shocks, bars, weights, stagger, gear, and notes for each car. Everything is backed up to the cloud, so you never lose that perfect spring package. Setup Compare Put two setups side by side and show only what changed, so you can tell exactly what moved between the heat and the feature. Race History with Linked Setups Log every event, finish, and track condition with the exact setup you ran that night. Setup Export and Printing Share or print any setup as a PDF for your crew or your notebook. AI-Powered Crew Chief Describe how the car is handling and get setup guidance based on track conditions, car balance, and your own data. Adjustment Recommendations Targeted suggestions to tighten or loosen the car on entry, mid-corner, or exit. CAR AND SHOP Parts Tracking Keep shocks, gears, tires, and engine parts organized and track laps on each one so you know when it is time to rotate or replace. Maintenance Schedules and Checklists Build pre-race and between-race checklists and put recurring maintenance on the calendar. Gearing Calculator Try tire sizes and gear ratios to dial in top speed, RPM, and acceleration for each track. Official Rulebooks and Tech Articles Quick access to IMCA and USRA rules, plus tuning guides on spring rates, shocks, sway bars, gearing, and more. A dark interface that is readable in the pits at night. DST PRO Free to download. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Dirt Slingin Tech at 4.8 against DirtTune's 4.5. Dirt Slingin Tech also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (19 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dirt Slingin Tech sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and DirtTune sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Dirt Slingin Tech holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dirt Slingin Tech has 19 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
Dirt Slingin Tech ships an update every 5 days, DirtTune every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
