# EV Connect Canada vs Autel Charge

The clearest difference is rating: Autel Charge at 4.8 against EV Connect Canada's 4.3. Autel Charge also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and chart position (#172 vs unranked). EV Connect Canada's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (63% vs 46%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Autel Charge holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Autel Charge has 1.3K ratings behind it against 148, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of EV Connect Canada's written reviews are positive against 46% of Autel Charge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EV Connect Canada ships an update every 2 months, Autel Charge every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
