# Students' Union vs Washnet

The clearest difference is rating: Students' Union at 4.0 against Washnet's 1.2. Washnet's advantage is review sentiment (17% vs 0%) and ratings volume (43 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Students' Union holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Washnet has 43 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Students' Union's written reviews are positive against 17% of Washnet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Students' Union ships an update every 5 weeks, Washnet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
