# SmartFun vs Pure Scent

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pure Scent at every 5 days against SmartFun's monthly. SmartFun's advantage is iOS requirement (10.1 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartFun ships an update monthly, Pure Scent every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
