# CellBadge vs SCGC

The clearest difference is rating: SCGC at 5.0 against CellBadge's 2.3. SCGC also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 14 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). CellBadge's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SCGC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CellBadge has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CellBadge ships an update every 14 months, SCGC every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
