# Equalizer vs Bass Boost Player

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bass Boost Player at monthly against Equalizer's every 3 months. Bass Boost Player also leads on review sentiment (32% vs 16%) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). Equalizer's advantage is ratings volume (6.5K vs 704). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Equalizer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Bass Boost Player sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bass Boost Player holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Equalizer has 6.5K ratings behind it against 704, so its average is the more settled of the two.
