# Stratword vs WriteOn

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WriteOn at 100% against Stratword's 47%. WriteOn also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Stratword's advantage is ratings volume (97 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stratword sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and WriteOn sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WriteOn holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stratword has 97 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of Stratword's written reviews are positive against 100% of WriteOn's.

Stratword ships an update every 5 weeks, WriteOn every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
