# SMRTE P vs iHomePilot

The clearest difference is update cadence: SMRTE P at every 2 weeks against iHomePilot's every 6 weeks. SMRTE P also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SMRTE P ships an update every 2 weeks, iHomePilot every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
