# MyEssency vs EZsalt

MyEssency and EZsalt both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of EZsalt's written reviews are positive against 38% of MyEssency's. EZsalt also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). MyEssency's advantage is ratings volume (307 vs 15). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyEssency holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyEssency has 307 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of MyEssency's written reviews are positive against 75% of EZsalt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyEssency ships an update every 2 months, EZsalt every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
