# Hook Race! vs Sonic Rumble Party

The clearest difference is rating: Sonic Rumble Party at 4.7 against Hook Race!'s 3.7. Sonic Rumble Party also leads on ratings volume (8K vs 6) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Hook Race!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 54) and review sentiment (100% vs 78%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sonic Rumble Party sells 51 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Hook Race! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sonic Rumble Party holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sonic Rumble Party has 8K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Hook Race!'s written reviews are positive against 78% of Sonic Rumble Party's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hook Race! ships an update every 2 months, Sonic Rumble Party monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
