# OutLearn vs Flashcard Lab

OutLearn and Flashcard Lab both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Flashcard Lab's written reviews are positive against 82% of OutLearn's. OutLearn's advantage is ratings volume (129 vs 5) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OutLearn sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Flashcard Lab sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashcard Lab holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OutLearn has 129 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of OutLearn's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flashcard Lab's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
