# Proof Dashcam vs RAM®

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Proof Dashcam at 100% against RAM®'s 31%. Proof Dashcam also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). RAM®'s advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (91K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RAM® holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RAM® has 91K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Proof Dashcam's written reviews are positive against 31% of RAM®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on June 4, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
