# Wing Shack vs Cafe Mexicali

The clearest difference is rating: Wing Shack at 4.7 against Cafe Mexicali's 3.1. Wing Shack also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (5.5K vs 7). Cafe Mexicali's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 36%) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wing Shack holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wing Shack has 5.5K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Wing Shack's written reviews are positive against 50% of Cafe Mexicali's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wing Shack ships an update fortnightly, Cafe Mexicali every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
