# PerkSpot vs pOpshelf

The clearest difference is rating: pOpshelf at 4.8 against PerkSpot's 3.0. pOpshelf also leads on ratings volume (18K vs 109). PerkSpot's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

pOpshelf holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: pOpshelf has 18K ratings behind it against 109, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of PerkSpot's written reviews are positive against 43% of pOpshelf's.

PerkSpot ships an update fortnightly, pOpshelf monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
