# PerkSpot vs AKIRA

The clearest difference is rating: AKIRA at 4.8 against PerkSpot's 3.0. AKIRA also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 114) and review sentiment (47% vs 37%). PerkSpot's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and chart position (#206 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AKIRA holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AKIRA has 2K ratings behind it against 114, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of PerkSpot's written reviews are positive against 47% of AKIRA's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
