# Procedural vs Timed Tasks

The clearest difference is monetization model: Timed Tasks at free against Procedural's paid. Procedural's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Procedural sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Timed Tasks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Procedural against 5.0 for Timed Tasks. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively.

Procedural ships an update fortnightly, Timed Tasks every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
