# Widget Custom HomeScreen vs Waydar

The clearest difference is rating: Waydar at 5.0 against Widget Custom HomeScreen's 4.1. Waydar also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Widget Custom HomeScreen's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widget Custom HomeScreen sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Waydar sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Waydar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widget Custom HomeScreen has 2.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Widget Custom HomeScreen ships an update monthly, Waydar every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
