# Pro Camera vs Snap Pro Camera

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pro Camera at 53% against Snap Pro Camera's 31%. Snap Pro Camera's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year and Snap Pro Camera sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Snap Pro Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap Pro Camera has 5.3K ratings behind it against 999, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Pro Camera's written reviews are positive against 31% of Snap Pro Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pro Camera ships an update every 5 weeks, Snap Pro Camera every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
