# Pro Camera vs SANDMARC Camera

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SANDMARC Camera at none against Pro Camera's 3. SANDMARC Camera also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 53%) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks). Pro Camera's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (999 vs 32). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. SANDMARC Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pro Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 999 ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Pro Camera's written reviews are positive against 83% of SANDMARC Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pro Camera ships an update every 5 weeks, SANDMARC Camera every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
