# Pro Camera vs LightCast Suite

The clearest difference is rating: LightCast Suite at 5.0 against Pro Camera's 4.4. LightCast Suite also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Pro Camera's advantage is ratings volume (999 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year and LightCast Suite sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LightCast Suite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 999 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pro Camera ships an update every 5 weeks, LightCast Suite every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
