# SciMatch vs Calombo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Calombo at 100% against SciMatch's 40%. Calombo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). SciMatch's advantage is ratings volume (263 vs 20). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SciMatch sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Calombo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calombo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SciMatch has 263 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two.
