# Flick vs LiveNote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flick at none against LiveNote's 3. LiveNote's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LiveNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Flick asks for nothing beyond the download.

LiveNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LiveNote has 45 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 98% of Flick's written reviews are positive against 100% of LiveNote's.

Flick ships an update every 3 months, LiveNote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
